• Administered Solaris, AIX, RHEL 2.1, 3 and 4, Dynix/ptx, HP/UX, Windows NT 4.0, 2k, 2k3 and 2k8 server, along with Netapp 3140

• Dedicated support engineer for high profile customer

• Developed various shells scripts to assist in the administration of the servers, ranging from simple process checking scripts using Bourne shell, to hardware monitoring, to patch management scripts.

• Personally responsible for developing and maintaining return to service, and informational documentation for several customers.

Convinced a customer to purchase 1 new server, rather than 3, and reconfigured their environment to include the new server, and was able to triple their load capacity, while only increasing their operating expenses by 10% instead of the planned 50% and reducing the ticket count by 90%.

• Worked closely with 3rd party vendors for various customer projects, effectively halving the time needed to implement the new features.

• Provided a 99% resolution ratio for service calls.

• Customized backup procedures for customers to prevent backup failures, and ensure efficiency by limiting what files and partitions are backed up.
